New Zealend issued next a 2014 coin motive in series of Kiwi's and treasurs of New Zealand. This series has 3 coins, BU silver coin in coincard or blister, a proof silver coin both in pure 999 silver 1 oz and also a 1/4 oz. proof pure 9999 gold coin.

Mintage for silver coins was reduces and it is 10'000 for BU coins and 5'000 for proof silver coins.
Gold coin is limited to only 950 coins!

Kiwi are flightless birds endemic to New Zealand. At around the size of a domestic chicken, kiwi are by far the smallest living ratites and lay the largest egg in relation to their body size of any species of bird in the world.

Cameroon 2010 Rhinoceros Noir

A little older modern numismatic commemorative coin from Cameroon. This coin was issued in 2010 at only 999 pcs, from pure silver in weight of 2 oz. Speciality of this coin is Ruthenium plating on the coin. As a legal tender the face value is 1 500 CFA.

Ruthenium is a chemical element with symbol Ru and atomic number 44. It is a rare transition metal belonging to the platinum group of the periodic table.

The black rhinoceros or hook-lipped rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis) is a species of rhinoceros, native to eastern and central Africa including Kenya, Tanzania, Cameroon, South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Angola. Although the rhinoceros is referred to as black, its colors vary from brown to gray.

Palau $ 10 Tiffany Art - Venetian Gothic

The ninth edition of the legendary Tiffany series is dedicated to Venetian Gothic. It shows the Doge’s Palace and the Ca‘ d’Oro overlooking the Grand Canal.

Venetian Gothic is an architectural style which combines gothic iconography with Moorish and Byzantine influences in an elegant manner. Its main works originated from the 14th and early 15th centuries during Venice’s heyday. Therefore, enough funds were available to finance this elaborate style. The silver coin‘s obverse shows the famous Palazzo Ducale, which is now a museum. From the ninth century onwards until the end of the Republic in 1797, it was the Doges domicile. Its present gothic form originates from 1340.

Behind the palace is the Lion of Saint Mark, a symbol of the evangelist and patron saint Mark, and the tower of the church San Giorgio Maggiore, which is located on the identically named island in Venice’s lagoon. The reverse side shows the marvellous Ca‘ d’Oro City Palace which was built in the 15th century. The architects were, among others, Giovanni Buon and his son Barolomeo who were Venice’s top sculptors of that time. The name Ca’ d’Oro (Golden House) comes from the originally gold-plated ornaments on the magnificent façade which overlooks the Grand Canal.
